Since 1898, Macnamara-Dilar Ltd is the oldest leather cleaning and leather refinishing specialist in Canada. Our skill and knowledge has been passed down through 4 generations. With over 100 years of experience in the industry we have mastered the art of leather refinishing.
In our past we were the only leather cleaning and leather refinishing specialist to offer a (1 day) service which today is still unheard of. Some of our most famous satisfied customers leather garments included: Elvis Presley, Liberace, Tom Jones any many more.

In order to offer the finest in leather cleaning and leather refinishing, evaluation of the leather is crucial. First, we determine the grade and finish of the leather and choose an appropriate method of cleaning depending on the soil and stains.
Depending on the amount of wear in the original finish we usually recommend refinishing for those who want their furniture to look like new again. A list of our refinishing procedures are: spot dyeing, refresh service, full service and colour changing.
After our service the use of creams and conditioners are NOT recommended. All of our finishes are maintenance free, simply wipe then down with warm WATER.

- seal in the new finish with a clear protective topcoat ( can be applied in matte, satin or high gloss )

- refinish with (3) coats of leather dye - ( fills in minor wear, scratches and corrects fading )
- seal in the new finish with a clear protective topcoat ( can be applied in matte, satin or high gloss )

- prepare leather for a colour change
- we require a paint code or colour swatch from a paint store - Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, Home Depot, etc )
- mix custom colour and transform to a leather colour ( a rich colour that suits leather )
- we will send you an sample photo via e-mail of the colour we have mixed or will mail you a swatch of leather.
- refinish with 3-5 coats of leather dye depending on the colour
- seal in the new finish with a clear protective topcoat ( can be applied in matte, satin or high gloss )
- maximum leather protection - can be added to any service. ( can be applied in matte, satin or high gloss finishes )
